Delete your Kuitter account

This page explains how to delete your Kuitter account (developer: Kuitter) and what happens to your information afterwards.

Option 1 — Delete your account in the app

Open the Kuitter app and sign in.
Go to the Settings tab.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
Tell us the reason if you'd like (optional) and confirm.
For your security, we email you a verification code — enter it to confirm the request.

Your account is closed as soon as the code is verified. This cannot be undone from within the app.

Option 2 — Ask us to delete it for you

If you can't sign in or can't reach the in-app option, email team@kuitter.com from the email address on your Kuitter account, with:

the subject line “Delete my account”;
the email address (and username, if you know it) used on the account;
the reason for your request.

We verify that the request comes from the account holder before acting, and we aim to complete verified requests within 30 days.

What happens to your data

When your account is deleted, it is permanently closed and your presence is removed from Kuitter. Your login is disabled and cannot be restored.

Your profile, community posts and comments, leaderboard entry, accountability partnerships and group memberships are no longer visible to other users or anywhere in the app.	Your account record and associated content are kept in secure, access-restricted storage — not on the live platform — so that we can meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, defend legal claims, and investigate abuse, fraud or safety incidents.

Retention period. Retained records are held for as long as necessary for the purposes above, and for no longer than 7 years from the date of deletion, after which they are erased. Records subject to an active legal claim or investigation are kept until that matter concludes.

Your email address is retained so the same address cannot be used to open a new account. This protects the community from banned or abusive users returning under the same identity.

Subscriptions. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings, otherwise billing continues. Purchase records are kept where tax and accounting law requires.
