Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 July 2026

Kuitter ("we", "us") is a private, judgment-free companion app for recovery from compulsive pornography use. We take your privacy seriously — recovery is personal, and we designed Kuitter to collect as little as possible and to let you stay anonymous. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

The short version: We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. You can use the community anonymously. Your recovery content is used to power your streaks, tools, and your AI companion — not to profile you for anyone else.

1. Information we collect

2. Content protection (optional DNS filter)

If you turn on Protection, the app configures your device to use a third-party family-filter DNS resolver (CleanBrowsing) so adult sites are blocked across your browsers. This filtering happens on your device / at the DNS resolver — we do not collect, receive, route, or store your browsing history.

3. How we use your information

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Where your data lives (processors)

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

5. Your choices & rights

6. Data security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by row-level security, and authentication tokens are stored using your device's secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

7. Children

Kuitter is intended for adults (18+). It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
